Terms of Use
Last updated: 08/2026 · These terms govern your use of PromptHub (promthub.org). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.
1. Provider and scope
The provider of the platform is the operator named in the imprint ("we"). These terms apply to all users ("you"). The Content Guidelines and the Privacy Policy apply in addition.
2. Service and availability
PromptHub is a platform for sharing, versioning, forking, and collaboratively improving prompts for AI language models. We provide the platform "as available" and aim for reliable operation, but do not warrant any particular availability. Features may evolve or be discontinued.
3. Account
Sign-in is via GitHub. You are responsible for activity under your account and must keep your credentials and any API tokens confidential. An account is personal and may not be transferred. You must meet the minimum age required to give valid consent under the law of your country of residence.
4. Your content and rights
You retain all rights in the content you publish (prompts, descriptions, contributions). You confirm that you hold the necessary rights and that your content does not infringe third-party rights.
To operate the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to store, reproduce, display, and technically process your publicly published content and – for public content only – to translate it automatically between German and English and to generate preview images from it. This right ends for new uses when you remove the content; forks already created by other users continue under the license you chose.
For each public repository you choose a license, which governs what others may do with your prompt (e.g. when forking). Attribution of origin remains visible on forks.
5. Acceptable use
The Content Guidelines apply. Prohibited in particular are harmful or unlawful prompts, jailbreaks, publishing third parties' personal data or secrets (e.g. API keys), spam, and rights infringements. We may review, hide, or remove infringing content and suspend accounts for repeated or serious violations.
6. Playground and your own API keys (BYOK)
The playground uses your own Anthropic API key, which is used solely in your browser and sent directly to Anthropic (see Privacy Policy). Anthropic's terms apply to that use, and you are responsible for any costs incurred there.
7. Paid plans
Certain features may be offered via paid plans. Prices and scope follow the pricing page at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe under the conditions shown there. Subscriptions renew according to the chosen term until you cancel; cancellation is possible at any time effective at the end of the current billing period.
8. Consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, the following statutory right of withdrawal applies to paid digital services. (Under Swiss law there is no general statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online; we nevertheless grant EU consumers the arrangement below.)
Withdrawal notice
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Benedikt Christopeit, address see imprint, benedikt@promthub.org) of your decision to withdraw by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Early expiry. Your right of withdrawal expires early if we have begun performance after you expressly consented to us beginning performance before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins. We obtain this consent at checkout.
Model withdrawal form
(If you wish to withdraw from the contract, complete this form and send it back.)
To: Benedikt Christopeit, address see imprint, benedikt@promthub.org I/we (*) hereby withdraw from the contract concluded by me/us (*) for the purchase of the following paid plan on PromptHub: – Ordered on / booked on (*): _______________ – Name of consumer(s): _______________ – Address of consumer(s): _______________ – Email address / username: _______________ – Date: _______________ – Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper) (*) Delete as appropriate.
Mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.
9. Liability
Content on the platform is provided by users; we assume no warranty for third-party content. Prompts may produce unexpected results – always review AI model output yourself before relying on it.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused by unlawful intent and gross negligence; any exclusion of this liability is void under Art. 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO). For slight negligence our liability is excluded to the extent legally permissible, in particular for indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of data, and lost profit. For the conduct of auxiliary persons we are liable, to the extent legally permissible, only in cases of intent or gross negligence (Art. 101 CO). Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.
10. Indemnification
You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the platform or from content you published, to the extent you are responsible.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via account settings. We may restrict or end use in the event of violations of these terms or the Content Guidelines. Provisions that by their nature survive (e.g. license in forked content, liability) remain in effect.
12. Changes
We may amend these terms with future effect, e.g. due to changed law or new features. We will give reasonable notice of material changes; the version published here applies.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is – to the extent legally permissible – the provider's seat in Switzerland. Mandatory consumer protection rules and the mandatory consumer place of jurisdiction of your country of residence remain unaffected.
